VO2 Max and RMR Testing
Measure what your engine actually does. VO2 max testing sets your real training zones; RMR testing tells you what your body burns at rest.
VO2 max is the ceiling of your aerobic engine: the maximum oxygen your body can take in and use. It is one of the strongest single markers of cardiovascular fitness, and testing it directly replaces watch estimates with a measured number and exact heart-rate zones to train by.
Resting metabolic rate is the other half of the equation: what your body burns doing nothing. Measuring it takes the guesswork out of nutrition targets, because the calculators everyone uses are estimating a number that can simply be measured.
What you get
- Measured VO2 max, not a wearable estimate
- Personal heart-rate training zones from your own data
- Measured resting metabolic rate for real nutrition targets
- Retest to see whether the training block actually moved the number

What happens during a VO2 max test?
You exercise at progressively harder effort while breathing through a mask that measures the oxygen you use, until you reach your limit. The whole test is short, and you leave with your number and your zones.
How should I prepare for an RMR test?
RMR is measured at true rest, so testing is done rested and fasted per the instructions you get when you book. The measurement itself is simple: you lie still and breathe.
